Very good! It reminds me of some of the best and more emotional ones in the last King runs. We feel the switch of time and style that is happening. Interesting new character is introduce. We also get more of the Batman and Catwoman relationship and all of that is marvelously illustrated. One of the best one in a while in my opinion, let's hope it keep on track for some more issues!!

I mean, it's really well-written but it's also quite uninspired. King's era had its faults but this feels like DC is asking Tynion to pretend like most of Rebirth never happened. Now that they've gotten rid of Selina and rebooted the Batfamily, I'm sure they'll even find a way to bring Alfred back from the dead and go back to the default Batman worldstate. Combined with Tynion's nasty habit of stealing from other Batman stories, I'm just not convinced at all by this take.

Hopefully, I'm wrong and this Year One 2.0 will have some pay off, and mark the beginning of a proper new era for Batman. One can still hope. If anything, I'm happy about the budget cuts. He's still filthy rich, but he won't be cheated to God level anymore. That's the one good thing to come out of this.
