Heavily developed characters and setting, not very plot-driven.

A quick, strange read. Kind of ambiguous, kind of complex, kind of quiet. Not entirely sure what I thought—it kept my interest but I felt a little disconnected from the main character (who was unnamed, so maybe that was intentional?). Still a good read and a solid way to start off the month!

I liked the storylines throughout the book but was disappointed and honestly a little bored with how the book wrapped. Good detail and intertwining plots. It really seemed like it had the opportunity for more of a conclusion and as a reader, I wanted more for the main character.

No plot, no vibes. The type of book that promises a lot but fails to deliver. Throughout the story I kept expecting something to happen but it never did. The characters were bland, I felt no emotional connection to them and the thing that bothers me the most is there were so many opportunities to make this book interesting and give an interesting twist to the story, but they were completely missed. I don't know if this was done on purpose but it just left me frustrated. Good thing that the writing was relatively easy and the chapters were short so I didn't waste that much time.
