Book Joe is much creepier and more deranged than series Joe. Book Joe is intense, I had to read it in sections and take breaks. But it was worth it. At the end, I ended up disliking everyone.

One moment you're thinking this guy is a disgusting freak and the next you find yourself weirdly routing for him?? I find it similar to Dexter in that sense. I think while watching the TV show, it's kind of easy to fall into the "charming" appeal of Joe Goldberg but I do think the book has a great way of bringing Joe's darkness back to the forefront. This series has become a dirty pleasure of mine. The drama, the suspense, the unhinged chaos weaved through out. It all keeps me coming back for the next book.

OH MY GOOOOOOSH THIS BOOK!!

This is by far the creepiest book I have ever read. Being inside of Joe's head is amazing and disturbing. You get to experience how screwed up he is, but from his perspective it's everyone else that's messed up.

Beck was just awful. I hated her and her friends so much. I never really felt sad when they died, but I was never rooting for them to be killed. Joe is definitely the bad guy here, no gray areas at all.

I probably won't watch the show, and I don't think I'll continue with the series either. This was a good standalone and I like the way it ended.
