good enjoyable, light read. Written differently from most mystery stories. Author doesn't follow the covennant of giving the reader enough clues so they can attempt to solve crime.
This series clashes with my feminism in a lot of ways, despite the main character Hannah being a self proclaimed feminist. And yet, I'll probably keep reading until I finish the series. A guilt pleasure cozy mystery.
I love this series, but this was my least favorite so far. I feel like it was rushed. Hopefully the next one makes up for it and it is as good as the others!!
It was a fun read. Even though I knew who was the muderer I stuck with it cause I wanted to know the motive.
2 stars for recipes only. Simple and predictable. And those tree devoted boyfriends... hmmm... fiddle-de-dee. Not cute at all. Maybe it's because thit is the first book I read in the series and I am not attached to characters at all, that I found it so boring. But I have no desire to pick other books in the series at all. Kaimietiškas detektyvas.
May started out with a mediocre book. The mystery part of this one was fine, but the dialogue borders on ridiculous and the love triangle (then square...) is just stupid. And Hannah's obnoxious "humor" is beginning to grate. Describing an anchorwoman as anorexic because she's very thin isn't funny. Hannah isn't funny. I get the feeling Joanne Fluke isn't funny. I've got 5 or 6 more of this series on my shelves, so I'm sure I'll read them eventually. If I didn't own them, though, I think I'd be done with Hannah.
Finally! Just make a decision already and end this weird love triangle. Also, how is Mike even still in this contest. Who cares if he's handsome? He's a jerk. Speaking of jerks, another unlikable character meets his end. I didn't really buy-in for the motive of the killer but...let's face it...the murder mystery is just what keeps the plot moving but it's not why we're reading these books. Or maybe some people are, but not me.
The introduction of Ross...since I'm a big Norman fan I'm not sure how I feel about Ross yet. It was fun to see Hannah in a different light and get a glimpse of her college life that has nothing to do with that one-time love-gone-wrong story.
The investigations are team-efforts now so I wish that Hannah didn't always get all of the credit. For as smart as she supposedly is about putting clues together she sure does make a lot of stupid decisions.

I found this book to be a little cheesy.....no pun intended...but if the pun fits.... Honestly it wasn't one of the most riveting, page turner mysteries out there, but it was a nice distraction which I needed at the time.
Definitely not my favorite Hannah Swenson novel. I was over halfway through the book before a murder took place. Usually I fly through her books, but this one moved very slow.
