This was surprisingly better than book #1- more world building, more plot driven, more character development and complex characters. Writing is still not the best, but is somewhat made up by interesting plot. The book does move a bit slowly for most of it, and then really speeds up in the last quarter.

Oh my god. The dark romantasy sequel to ACOTAR - and it's hotter,  softer, and the sexual tension is agonisingly delicious.

Love love love! Loved seeing the inner circle and the character building. I do struggle to keep up with some parts or the story but love it nonetheless, starting book 3 and hoping it only gets better

Before I finished the first book I immediately went and bought the rest of the series, and can I say, BEST DECISION. This book has been my favorite of the whole series, thus far. The pace of this book was quick, wish it was slower so I could've kept enjoying it. The character development of the old character was just chefs kiss. I was glad that we got introduced to a whole new set of characters with the night court.  The one thing I enjoyed most was reading the difference between Feyres relationships and how each made me feel. For me, as much as I liked Tanlin in the first book, Rhysand takes the absolute cake. The best thing about this book was Feyre. I felt like reaching out to give her a hug with all the PTSD she was going through. I love that she went from a frail girl who was being controlled to a strong warrior and High Lady.

I went into ACOMAF thinking it was going to be all smut and a bit overhyped… I was wrong! This book completely defied my expectations.

What this book is actually about is depression and healing and found family and actual true love. The Spring Court just ignoring how miserable Feyre was and that she was wasting away was awful. Rhys stepping in not to “save her” but help her save herself is the exact ML we all want. Most of the novel focuses on Feyre’s very real trauma and her finding her strength again while trying to prepare for the looming threat of Hybern.

The ROMANCE omg. I love romance novels that are more about the story. I prefer that the coupling feels like a right next step and not just a gratuitous sex scenes. The build up of trust in each other and in themselves was so good that i bawled during Chapter 54 and left 55 for a later date.

Very much looking forward to the next novel!
