Sweet, second chance, hometown romance. I love a books about a celebrity who comes back to his/her hometown to his/her first love or someone he/she has always known. Heartwarming story, some angst, but I loved the journey Sandy goes on to find herself then find that she can do something different!

I really enjoyed this book. I am from a small town in Ohio and from the pop culture references it seems like I am close to the same age as the main characters, so that made it extra fun.
Spice level is 0 for anyone wondering but I didn’t really miss it. The story was cute and funny.

Cute second chance love story. The third act conflict was annoying and felt unnecessary. Hard to separate my feelings about small town life while I read.

There's a whiff of Gilmore Girls fan fiction here but all in all a charming romcom.

Felt that there was not a lot of character depth about Hank. There is a constant reiteration of the main character saying that he is the kindest person ever and puts him above all others. Even when he says that he is not perfect and has flaws it gets swept under the rug. I like characters to have flaws and problems - be more real. There’s also a lot of inner monologue. Takes like half a page to describe what is at the fair…
