I originally gave this 4 stars. I was upset it was left on a cliffhanger.

After some time, I now know its a 5 star read

Wow. Wow. WOW.

I'm so happy that I finally dove into Lawless because I got to dive into Bear's story. Freaking finally! I'm not going to lie, I thought it was really cute when he gave Thia is bad ass ring when she was little. Mostly because of the assholes in his gang at that time. Little did he know that the decision he made almost 7 years ago was going to kick him in the ass.

At first, I wasn't a big fan of Thia and Bear. Mostly because I just didn't like Thia. She seemed to find trouble and Bear just seemed to have commitment issues on top of that. It also didn't help that Thia's mom went bat shit crazy and her whole life exploded after that. So once they had their little reunion - drama hit me in the face. Repeatedly.

I'm also not going to lie. I half cringed when it came to the romance because I'm thinking she's li what - 17 maybe? Not sure how old Bear freaking his but I'm assuming he isn't a teenager. Maybe in his late 20's/early 30's. Honestly not sure - so, yeah, I cringed at first.

Maybe I'll get better and ship them in the next book because - hot damn - that ending almost killed me. I have endless questions and need answers stat!

Took me awhile to fully get into this book, but by the last few chapters I was hooked. Can’t wait to finish Bear and Thia’s story in Soulless

Bear and Thia!!!
“I don’t want drugs. I want you to be my drug. Make me forget, Bear. Please.” I begged. “Take it all away.”

Thia gets herself into some deep shit when she ends up killing her mentally insane mother in self defense.
Remembering a promise a guy gave her along with his ring years ago, she seeks his help.
Only she ends up in the hands of his father. Bears father.
Bear and his father are at war with eachother and the MC president (Bears dad) decides to sexually assault Thia thinking this girl means something to his son.

She gets rescued but the lingering effects of getting assaulted are still there. If you’ve read the previous books, you know Bear and Thia has sexual assault in common.

This is an age gap, revenge seeking, fast burn love story.
Bear is bae. He’s mentally unstable going to drugs, sex, and alcohol, but Thia becomes his new drug. Helping her with her new legal battles and also trying to figure out what to do with an entire MC on his ass... this story is non stop drama and action. (And hot sex)

TM Frazier doesn’t hold back with her darkness. She’s one of my favorite authors. I highly recommend this entire series!

This book is the shit. What a cliffhanger and what a story!

4.5 gritty, emotional, raw & dirty Stars.

We see Bear in the previous books and see his backstory. It is best to read King & Tyrant before starting this book. I read them a while ago and I loved King. Now I’m not too sure. I think that Bear is now my T.M. Frazier fav bad boy. But you need to get the full experience and enjoyment out of these books.

I won’t be giving the plot away as that is kind of hard to describe without major spoilers.
Once upon a time, sheesh who am I kidding this isn’t a fairytale. This is unconventional love what Ms. Frazier is known for and does best.

Thia is different, she is witty, funny, sassy, sharp tongued and has foot in mouth syndrome but I love her. As a character she is refreshing and unique, quirky and not a cookie cutter heroine if you’re looking for that then move on. You won’t get that here.

Thia first meet Bear at the age of ten. She was looking after the store when he came in. He makes her a promise by giving her his skull ring. A promise he thinks is a joke but a ten year old only does take it seriously.

Fast forward seven years.

Bear, my care Bear. How I adore you. I don’t care that you are a fictional character. He is rough around the edges, no hearts and flowers with this guy but then again you won’t want that with him. Bear was meant to swing the gavel but took his Beach Bastard MC cut off. Just a slight problem there care bear.

“Once a Bastard, you were always a Bastard. Or you were dead.

Shit had hit the fan for him and his old man Chop. Even more when Thia came to the MC to ask Bear for help. There are no vague details to what happens to Thia when she goes to the MC. But even beforehand she kept a cool head and my jaw dropped when I read what happened and the next second I was excited with the plot line. Although I probably shouldn’t have been. *Shrugs*

Bear comes back for Thia although she was dumped on King’s doorstep. Now I will say something, they have two enemies on their tracks. For two different reasons.

There are such great moments in the book. One of them is where Bear realizes that there is more to the life that he has been given and how it could be.

“You came into my life when I had nothing left” … “You’ve been everything to me.” I leaned forward and planted a small soft kiss on the corner of his mouth, his lips parted and his gaze dropped to my lips as I pulled back. “You just have to remember how to be something to yourself.”
“I can’t,” Bear said, so quietly I wasn’t sure if he really spoke. “I can’t,” he repeated. His shoulders fell and his gaze dropped to the floor of the boat.

“Why? Tell me why?” I demanded, standing up off my seat. Bear was now eye level with my chest. “I’m… lost,” he admitted, and my heart sank.
“Then I will help you find your way,”
This is a real romance with heartfelt and heartbreaking moments. Where it isn’t all rainbows and sunshine it is real and it is Bear and Thia.

As all men who have found a woman that they see as their woman. MINE. They screw up but although Bear isn’t the flowery kind of guy he is good with words.

“Baby, I’m sorry,” he said dropping his forehead to mine in a rare moment of vulnerability. His voice was rough and shaky. “Help me. Please. I don’t know what I’m doing here.”
“What are you trying to do?” I asked.

He raised up, just enough to look me in the eye. “I’m trying to love you.”

I wasn’t too sure to begin with when I started reading this book. I’d had a run in with several busts and was falling slowly but surely in to a book funk. Lucky for me, this got me out of it.

Not too sure why you did it Bear, well actually I am. It’s a Bonnie & Clyde kind of love.
Major love going on for Preppy which is wrong as a) he is dead & well b) he is an oddball.

“Like something happened to Preppy. That wasn’t your fault, dick slick. It was mine. I literally couldn’t dodge that bullet. See what I did there? Oh my shit I’m hilarious.”

I did not see that ending coming. Clever me I waited for the second book to come out.
