Tragedy indeed!
It is quite astonishing that over 2500 years since this play was written the issues of power and democracy are as relevant now as they were then. And that the perception of women in relation to that power also remains much unchanged.
I didn't enjoy this in the sense that I felt gripped or compelled to read more. But I appreciated it's significance as a literary classic and felt it to be a powerful story.
