This gorgeous book has been sitting on my shelf for a while now and I decided it was finally time to dive in...and it did not disappoint.
We get a story with love, mystery, intrigue, and a little magic...we also get a story where stories are told to us by some of the characters and I LOVE that. Idk why but there's just something about a character telling us a story/myth/lore from their world that just helps me settle in even more. ^^
The end of this book had me glad I already have The Rose and the Dagger sitting on my shelf...so I can immediately dive into the other half of this tale.

Teilweise muss ich gestehen, dass ich die Prämisse etwas sehr verückt und verstörend. Dennoch waren die Charaktere sehr interessant und ich fand es spannend mehr über sie herausfinden. Im Gegensatz zum Hauptcharakter ist es mir nicht gelungen nur ein wenig über die vielen Frauen hinwegzusehen, die ermordet wurden. Deswegen konnte ich die "Liebesgeschichte" nicht so wirklich genießen. Trotzdem will ich unbedingt wissen wie es weiter geht.

Woooo this book took me for a RIDE and I’m not complaining. I loved it so much!!! I’m a character kind of person and those book DELIVERED on its characters. Tariq and Jahander made me slam the book shut sometimes tbh, but the rest of them were super lovable! Shahrzad and Khalid are perfect for each other and I love them end of story Not only were the main characters great, but the side characters were fun too! (some of them) I also loved the setting of this book, and the description of the setting. The writing style was amazing too!!!! Ahhhh I NEED to read The Rose and the Dagger ASAP
