before this book i knew nesta was a misunderstood character. the eldest daughters/ only daughters can understand where she comes from. i really enjoyed her book but i felt like it was way too easy to put down and that’s why it took me so long to read. personally felt like the series fell flat for me after the second book. still enjoyed it but not sure if i wanna read acotar 6.

3.5

It could have been 200 pages shorter I’m sorry. The plot felt forced-ish? This whole book is just “let’s put Nesta in an isolated timeout on mountain top with a hot man. This should be fine” I think SJM just wanted to expand on the universe which is fine but it didn’t hit the way the other books did. Also, Elain continues to have the personality of a cardboard box and the depth of a shot glass; but what’s new.

Of all the ACOTAR, I would say this was definitely my favorite. I feel like Nesta has more depth, and the cultivation of the story felt like it kept good pacing and interest to keep up with the spicier interplay that gets brought in.

I enjoyed this book so much more than I was expecting to! OMG! This is by far my favorite book from the series. I truly did not want this one to end, but I also could not put it down!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ STARS.
this book was just incredible! in my opinion, she wasn’t my favourite in previous books, however this book changed my whole perspective and she is one badass b**ch
