It's fine. It's a bit predictable and the twist really came out of nowhere and felt forced for the sake of a twist.

“Maybe we used up all our happiness. Maybe everybody only gets so much.”

I think the first plot twist of this book fell flat for me honestly because once I saw Claudia had her own POV I felt like something was up. I mean I could’ve gone the whole book not knowing about her “side hustle” but here we are. Once I found out how crazy Claudia was I didn’t care so much about her character to be honest. I thought Rosalie was gonna be like Verity from Colleen Hoover’s book Verity but that sadly wasn’t the case. I felt like that would’ve made the book more crazier. I didn’t see the concussion coming when it came to Greta but at the same time because the book lacked in other places the conclusion didn’t really hit as I thought it would.

I feel like Rob’s POV was necessary but also unnecessary at the same time. I mean yea we needed the POV I guess to find out the husband’s “side hustle” but at the same time we could have found that out in a POV from Claudia.

Normally I can read two Freida McFadden books in a day but this one took me all day to finish because it was rather boring and only picked up for about 30% of the full book. But don’t get me wrong it wasn’t the worst thriller ever but it also wasn’t the best one either.
