Solid Minecraft graphic novel with themes of friendship, dealing with changes, overcoming obstacles, teamwork and a splash of LGBTQIA+ representation.
My dyslexic son, who has struggled with reading outloud and confidence in reading, read this book to me. It kept him motivated to keep trying while also not being too word heavy for him. We're excited to read the rest of the series.

I did like this short graphic novel based on the game Minecraft. It was a very fast read that I finished this morning. I wanted to immerse myself more into the spirit of Minecraft to maybe get a better understanding for my students' obsession with this game. I did play Minecraft myself once and I understand why people like playing it but I never owned it.
I found this graphic novel to be a cute little story about a group of friends that sets out for a new adventure. I liked the way they interacted and that they aimed to keep in contact with the main character who moved across the country. Really enjoyed the way Minecraft was displayed in the graphic novel and would like to read the rest of the series.

A cute comic about friendship, teamwork, video games and kicking dragon butt.

Pretty good, although I have very limited Minecraft knowledge (=PARENT) I was able to follow the hero's quest okay.

I liked that the girls were the adventurers and the boys were happier at the base, working on building things. It seemed to me that they were a bit too young to be asking each other on "a date." On a closer inspection of the text, the kids' ages aren't ever specifically mentioned. I just assumed they were 3rd-5th grades. What do I know?

I read this for my library's first online kids' graphic novel bookclub, I'll update with a review from the kids. :)

I read this with my second grade son who loves Minecraft and he loved it! It was a little too striped down for my taste, but it had a nice message about change and friendships.

So glad I was pressed into reading this by 9 and 10 year olds because wrapped up in the Minecraft package is a charming friendship story with queer characters!!
