Wonderful book full of the love of a father and what he is willing to endure for his children and family. The only reason this is not 5-star is I felt the ending was a bit rushed and in some ways "convenient". The story, however, is wonderful and I highly recommend, especially if you are or have known children of adoption.
Moderate: Abandonment
Minor: Addiction, Drug abuse, and Child abuse

Don’t read the ending while wearing mascara
I don’t usually cry because of books, but the ending of this one got me harder than I thought it would. I am planning on getting a hard copy so I have a tangible feeling of the words that pierced my heart. That’s how much I am in love with this book. The authors ability to draw in a reader and lead them in the complete opposite direction of the climax is incredible. Usually I figure out the plot halfway through a novel, however this one had me sitting on the edge of my seat and holding my breath all the way through.
