Once again, this graphic interpretation of the original Wings of Fire book is respectful of the source material and maintains all the essential components in this more visual format. The art is lovely, and it's nice to see the characters. This book wraps up the first five-book plot in the Wings of Fire universe.

When I read the original, there's a spot near the end where tears suddenly started leaking out of my eyes. While I didn't have the same reaction to that same spot in this book, there was another, slightly earlier, section that gave me a similar reaction.

While I do enjoy this story, I think I prefer it in written form. It takes a bit more time to wrap up the story that the graphic novel doesn't quite have time to show. It sort of just ends. I did love seeing Sunny's interactions with everyone, it showed off her character very well.

Inspired choice to have Sunny spearhead the ending of the first arc! I really wasn't expecting it to be her until book 4 came in with having Starflight as the main protagonist.

This one steps it up from the last. Better action, better pacing, more things to keep the reader entertained consistently, and a satisfying ending. It's a good jumping off point.
