"I'm not talking about killing Cobblepot and Scarecrow or Clayface. Not Riddler or Dent... I'm talking about him. Just him. And doing it because... because he took me away from you."

I will start with isJason is a fave DC character, and if he wants to kill bad guys in Gotham, who is Batman to tell him he can't. But seriously, his relationship with Bruce is just so heartbreaking, and this makes for a complex read of his character and their relationships. The way Robin Jason handled here, I hate.

Me gustó mucho.

Fuck you, Batman. I have mixed feelings about this volume. While it has been well written and the plot is quite interesting, I wanted Batman to lose. Yes, I wanted Batman to lose. Weird, right?

You see, I like Batman and other freaks. Batman mostly because of his dark side. But then there is the line that even he won't cross. Jason crossed that line. Jason is what my ideal hero is. Jason is what I would become if I could get some powers. For once, I wanted Jason to kick Bruce's ass and send him packing. I wanted Bruce to leave Jason alone and mind his own business. I can keep whining all day about this. I know I'm not making much sense but you gotta read the volume for that.

Otherwise, one of the best Batman graphic novels I have ever come across. Recommended for all Batman fans.

This comic had me in tears. Jason is my favorite, and his story tugs at my heart so much. Their individual personalities were so evident in this comic, and I like the black mask is a villain.

Despite being on the edge of the batman fandom for a long time, I have never actually picked up a DC comic book. I wouldn’t have started with this had I not known the context, obviously, and even though I knew the plot going in, it still managed to hold my attention and surprise me in a lot of ways. The story is iconic and completely heartbreaking.

Didn’t realize how much this story tied into Identity and Infinite Crisis. Also the edition that had the Hush chapter which reintroduced Jason Todd, for those who haven’t read it.

The interesting parts about Batman being in denial of who Red Hood is and his struggle on what causes people to come back from the dead could’ve gone on for longer. Especially his conversations with Green Arrow and Superman (the Superman one in particular could’ve been much longer).
