This short story was fine. It did not provide very much, but it wasn't boring. It's about Bobbie's nephew. I'm glad that Bobbie did finally have something to do in the story towards the end, but I thought it would provide more insight into her character or into the larger conflict. It feels mostly unconnected to the rest of the series.

This novella is about Bobbie Draper and her nephew David. I liked this one too as it gives us a glimpse into Mars and its colonies. Gunny is one of my favorite characters from the series so I really enjoyed reading about her family and life in Mars a bit more.

Liked it for what it was, but not a standout or anything. Bobbie is one of my favorite characters so I wish she had been in it more, but at the same time it makes sense for these side novellas to have a degree of separation from our main characters. Honestly now that I've decided I want to read all these novellas on top of the regular novels, they just feel like barriers from me getting to the next book I want to read so badly. Sure I would've felt differently if I had wait for the new books to come out, but since I'm behind, the only thing stopping me is myself.

3.5 stars. This was good but I had trouble connecting to the main character. I loved that Bobbie Draper was in it but I just felt like I wanted more.

Well, that was definitely a story from the PoV of a horny, adolescent teenage boy.

Entirely skip-able.

***3.0***

This short novella is set in Expanse world and follows Bobbie with her family. David Draper, Bobbie's nephew is in a soup because of his involvement with a wrong guy. David is smart and hardworking but his teenage harmonies make him take risks for money and also for a girl.

But Bobbie, who is not so active but seen as a side character who only works out all the time. It is good novella, a bit sloppy or boring but a nice little installment.

Happy Reading!!!
