Twisted Lies

Ana Huang

4.06 AVERAGE

5 stars. I'm going to struggle to say goodbye to these girls and their partners (Apart from Alex because he is EVERYWHERE). I didn't used to like Alex in his book but I've grown to love him and how he helps out his friends in need, especially when struggling with their love lives. :p I will miss them dearly, the epilogue teared me up knowing their now in their thirties and married, with kids etc. Hope I'm lucky enough to see any of the girls in the kings of sin series. Goodbye Ava, Bridget, Jules and Stella- until we meet again. Well done Ana Huang, this series will always have a place in my heart. <3

At this point, I'm convinced that everyone who says this book is good is rage baiting. If having ANOTHER psychopath male lead wasn't enough, this book is also boring, way too long, and completely underwhelming.
Rule number 1 of mysteries, identity reveals work when the "bad guy" is someone who we have met before. I thought we all knew this at this point. But apparently Ana Huang didn't get the memo because the stalker is some random ass man whom we've never met before. Talk about an underwhelming reveal.
Also Stella tries to justify she's fallen in love with a psychopath (because she knows he does some questionable and illegal shit in the shadows) with a 😚✨nothing in the world is black and white...✨😚. Are we deadass? STELLA, STOP IT! The Nile is a river in Egypt. Your husband is A PSYCHOPATH.

āš ļøHot take: Stella and Christian have no chemistry whatsoever.

I can’t believe the series is over! It ended perfectly! I cried during the epilogue. It was a beautiful story to end one of my favorite series.

welp after what feels like forever (it was actually 5 months and 8 days), ive finally completed the entire twisted series. it feels surreal knowing that i finally finished the series, but MAN this book had me in quite a few chokeholds (also imo the order of books from best to worst is lies, games, love, hate)

i love how stella has that unicorn plush despite the fact shes an adult, like honestly thats so real (coming from an adult who still has her childhood plushies), i genuinely wonder if she still kept mr unicorn after all those years and/or passed it down to their child?

in my eyes, christian and stella went from strangers to frenemies, frenemies to lovers, lovers to frenemies then frenemies to lovers again, i also LOVE the nickname he gave her <3

i found christian's backstory lowkey depressing, and i was honestly shocked to learn that magda was actually made by his mum, when he burnt it i shed a tear

i LOVE what christian did to julian after he found out julian was the one that had been stella's stalker all along, thats such a major and valid crash out and id (attempt to) do the same thing if some psychopathic, obsessive stalker stalked my boyfriend and sent him weird letters and candid photos

i want and need a friendship like stella's, ava's, bridget's and jules' one ughhh, my fav group of four ever

i love how at the end of the book it seems like christian, alex, rhys and josh all warmed up to each other ahahaha, i still really wanna know what the banana float incident was :sob:

i really wish i could read the whole twisted series again for the first time, i know rereading is a thing but it isnt the same as opening it for the first time not knowing what to expect </3

I should have known I will love Twisted Lies since I absolutely savoured every page of Twisted Games. I could have never guessed who stalker even was, I guessed someone else but that person turned out to be another traitor with a plot twist! I hope I will find love someone who loves me as Twisted men loves their women. I really do hope. Im just romantic at heart like Stella 🤭 I felt both sides emotions, turmoils, the love they felt each other, Stella’s self-doubts, Christian’s self-hatred, how they healed each other without trying to change who they are. it took me in. I love putting myself as FMC in the books I read, and how Stella is like me, (Except for the love Stella has for wheat grass smoothie) it took me by surprise. Every woman in twisted series carried a part of me, and I adored this.

I finally can do a ranking between books in Twisted Series.
Of course as green as forest, Rhys Larsen carrying Twisted Games on top!
Secondly, yes i debated with myself about this too much, but Christian Harper took the place as second! What can i say? Larsen-Harper bromance! ;)
Third place goes tooo Josh Chen! Honestly their chemistry caught me giggling in every page. But couldnt pass Twisted Lies, you are still a 5āļø baby!
And yes.. most dreaded. Alex Volkov in Twisted Love is last. İ know it is one of the most loved book in the serie. But i couldnt vibe enough with Twisted Love, maybe because it was the first book in the serie. Alex Volkov shined more in other Twisted books more than his own book. But yet again, it is still 5āļø! It is just had to put a book to last and this one had to take place for me. But I could read this whole serie again and again, I would never get bored, and I’m planning to do it in future, this serie become one of my comfort books, worth a read, I am sure as hell, you will find a piece of yourself in the books.

An easy five star read and the absolute perfect way to end this series. Normally I find at least one flaw in a main character, but this time? Not a chance, I loved them both so much. Billionaire hero, forced proximity, and a ā€œtouch her and you dieā€ vibe made the tropes absolutely unmatched. The stalker subplot was tense and exciting, reminding me once again that Ana Huang is an absolute beast when it comes to weaving in outside drama. And that epilogue, with everyone living their happy lives? Pure serotonin. This book wasn’t just a finale, it was a victory lap, and I adored every page.
