Despite the clunky writing, the (what struck me as) rather out-dated, male-gaze depictions and the err.... clunky writing, I quite enjoyed this book. Not sure why exactly. I guess there was a satisfying tension and release rhythm to it that wasn’t too taxing. Not too bad.
