Violet is a timid shy girl who is only brought out of her comfort zone when she talks about her fairy tails-this is a story about dreams and making new friendships.

One of my favourite Jacqueline Wilson novels; love the way shes creative with her fairies and Wilson catches the life and emotions of young children and an enjoyable read for all ages.

I finished this book about 6 years ago, I was 10, I read this book in my school Library and totally fell in love with it.

Well, I have to say I ship Violet and Liam so the review is mostly gonna be from my opinion. XD

I'm a big fan of Jacqueline's books, and this one is one of the best.
It's a story about Violet, a girl who truely cared so much about her elder brother, despite he was not her real brother, she still listened to everything he told her to and tried to made him happy. Violet is my favorite character of all time.
Will, on the other hand , loved to made his little sister freaked out every time possible, he was a real prankster, but deep down, he also loved Violet as much as she loved him.

One day, Jasmine, a new student walk into Vliolet's class, and that's how the story began.

I think Will loved his little sister more than anyone could understand, it's kind of brother-sister thing I guess, I have a sister but it doesn't feel like having a brother.

5 stars!!!

I read this for the first time when I was about 8. I just reread it and the story seems a lot more intense and.... well, spooky than I remember. Nevertheless, it's a magical book, and I wish I hadn't finished it yet so that I still had more to read!

Received as a gift for my 10th birthday from both Lizzy and Tom and Chris and Tre. Remember being bewitched by it.

Grade: B

I am basing my rating for these childhood books on how much I enjoyed them when I read them as a child.
