A very poignant and beautifully written book but I felt it was trying to “make a point” but I didn’t really grasp what that was. Maybe it was a bit too subtle and I didn’t pick it up but it felt frustrating. Worth a read as the story in itself is worth it.

Brilliant and moving book that tells the story of Louis and Louise who are the same person, born to the same parents, but in one timeline Lou is a boy and in the other a girl. Superbly written, I devoured this book in two sittings, it is just that good!

Thank you to Tracy Fenton and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this fantastic book. My full review will be posted as part of the blog tour soon.

The Louise story was more interesting but I still enjoyed the interconnected storylines.

Really interesting idea of the main character being born male or female and the differences that this makes to their life. This culminates in an incident at 18 that changes Lou's life forever in different ways. I really enjoyed the characters and was fascinated by the things that changed but also the constants between Louis and Louise. Good to read the gender neutral sections as well and it still flowed naturally with the rest of the book.
Thoroughly recommend!
