The story's fast-moving and tons of fun, but the writing style is overwrought and unsubtle, and the book has some of the worst sex scenes I've ever read.

I finished this just because it was an easy read. I found the writing very immature and jumpy, with plot points that suddenly came out of no where to wrap things up once we were done with the constant sexin'. I suppose we can blame the wolf, but I find it disturbing that I am suddenly considering Anita Blake's libido more enjoyable than this.
