Witty is an adjective often used to describe Oscar Wilde and upon reading The Picture of Dorian Gray, I can confirm this. The prose and dialogue are delightful, I gave up highlighting a few pages in due to the sheer abundance of insightful aphorisms. I found myself getting lost in thought at various moments throughout the day pondering the discussions between Lord Henry and Dorian on beauty, morality, life, and art. I'm not entirely sure if I have encountered a novel so thought-provoking while being an absolute pleasure to read.

In general I liked it, but in some parts it was definitely boring. I didn't really enjoyed the start with the actress killing herself because it seemed detached from the story. I liked the part where Dorian kills Basil, that was full of action and very interesting. I hated the most the incredibly long chapter where Dorian reads the book that Henry gave him. I appreciated the ending, it was quite dynamic, but I would have liked for it to be longer.
