It just pushes me to comparison to Bardugo's 'Six of crows'. I liked the idea as well as the world and it's magic system a lot more here. It was interesting and story set in 19 century Paris is all i would need. However the characters and their personalities just weren't able to pull of such environment. They had personalities of course it wasn't like they didn't but they felt very one-dimensional and I lacked connection with those characters. That's the main reason why Six of crows were able to pull it off - they were much more interesting and unlike those seemed to have some depth

I just don’t really care about ‘any’ of these characters. Like. At all.

Only series that can cure the sickness that six of crows left in my heart. Literally so good

Absolutely nothing wrong with the book. But at about 70% I just lost interest. I forced myself to finish it and ended up liking the ending. Tbh, the book reminds me too much of Six of Crows. And instead of making me enjoy it more, this ended up making the book harder to enjoy.

Kind of reminds me of Six of Crows, but with less of a backstory on each of the characters. Love the crew and a good heist story with fantasy elements and some sexual tension. I also like how they represented Zofia’s autism.
