Maria Ann Green’s Crown of Sins is a fast-paced story filled with intrigue and a whole lot of enemies-to-lovers goodness.

Bellamy Byrne is the head of the Byrne crime family. Colloquially called The Mafia Princess, Bellamy works hard to keep her family away from the watchful eye of law enforcement. That is, until FBI agent Raleigh Harding literally busts down her door. As a reluctant agreement between the two is set in motion, Bellamy and Raleigh will find that their mutual attraction makes things infinitely more complicated.

Crown of Sins has a lot of elements that I love in a good romance: opposites attract, enemies-to-lovers, and a strong female protagonist. Bellamy defies a lot of stereotypes, and I love how empowered and open she is as character. Raleigh was a bit more opaque to me, and I would have loved a little more of his story, but his chemistry and connection with Bellamy is undeniable. There are also supporting characters (like Bellamy’s brother Devin, and Raleigh’s coworker, Shawn) who I’d be interested in reading more about.

In all, this is a fun escape read with a healthy dose of steam and a lot of entertaining, suspenseful moments.

An ARC was generously provided by the author in exchange for my honest review.

Leave it to Maria Ann Green to start a scene with a bang! Oo la la, my glasses were fogged up with the intensity, and Bellamy Bryne lured me in from the first page. "Crown of Sins" is a Mafia Princess of DC who runs an empire. She's a strategist and protects her loved ones. Special Agent Raleigh Harding is a rebel, stoic and an intense character. He doesn't reveal much, but when Bellamy gets under his skin, things get heated. Their chemistry is off the charts. Maria is a skilled writer who exceptionally sets the scene, and every chapter reveals a little more about these headstrong characters. However, some aspects of the plot felt incomplete, and I wanted more. There were memorable characters such as Devin and Trin, and I would have loved to read more scenes with them in the mix. The ending left me smiling and given the parallel between the characters; I'll take it. A 3.5 star read!

A big thank you to Maria Ann Green for giving me an ARC copy. This honest review is left voluntarily.

The Mafia Princess and the FBI agent take you on quite a twisted path laced with danger, sly cunning, intrigue and death as you make your way through this amazing story filled with pain and redemption. When Agent Harding and Bella finally come together get ready for an explosive ride as these scenes are sizzling hot. This Princess doesn’t need saving and will show Agent Harding just what a Mafia princess is truly capable of when pushed to her limits. The ending is just as spectacular as the beginning leaving you hot and sated.

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
