I liked this conclusion. Book 3 increases the spice, the web of schemes and deception grows. The resolution is very satisfying, but there a multitude of side plots that wind down in the last 10 percent and and the POV change and flashbacks re: the memory stone was kind of cheap story telling

buckle up bitches because i have opinions on the conclusion of the series. (seriously i don’t shut the fuck up for a while, so don’t say you’ve not been warned).
firstly, my main issue with this book is the way it’s been labelled and promoted— someone needs to deep-dive into the progressing phenomenon of smutty fantasy romances being marketed as YA books. or just generally, books with explicit content being promoted as YA. because it’s becoming so commonplace now and i find it so odd that it’s allowed?
this book is on Goodreads’ ”YA Releases September 2022” and ”YA Novels of 2022”... so it is YA? but then, the book tags for this on Goodreads also label this as NA? so what is it? because Emilia was fully sucking dick in a gondola. we’re told she swallows it too, go Emilia! so there’s no vagueness. nothing is implied. it’s explicitly shown that they’re doing all sorts of horny shit. (and not just Emilia and Wrath, but other characters, too).
i mean, don’t get me wrong, im a romance smut lover. go scroll through my read shelf and you’ll be assured... but it just makes me feel so weird to read explicit smut in a book that’s labelled YA and marketed for young people
”I chose happiness over fear,” I finally said. “And I’d choose it again without any regrets.”

Great ending to this series!!! I enjoyed journeying with Emilia to piece together her life and take actions to do better. Her whole world is turned upside down over and over. The relationship between Emilia and Wrath was wholesome, and the book had great level of spice.
I’m so glad the sister relationship between Emilia and Vittoria was mending at the end.
I hate the trope of the FMC losing all her powers, and I really think that would have spoiled the ending. I’m glad that she got her powers back (kind of) at the end. Overall I love the magic system and am happy with the happily ever after for Emilia and Wrath.
