Again, the lack of diversity in the faces keeps confusing me. The story is great, though, so I'm definitely ploughing on.

Didn't really like this. Found it to be a bit too dark & not really enjoying how the characters have been portrayed. The art is impressive but it doesn't appeal to me. The explicit homophobia including physical hate crime and explicit ableism toward a child really disturbed me. The story is interesting but I don't feel it's explained very well and it confuses me when it jumps back and forth in time and/or locations.

I got these books as a gift and I just adore them. The story and art and pacing is just so beautiful and violent and they pull me in so entirely that when I finish a volume I feel as if I've just woken up.
