This book is very very well done and will certainly stick with you for a very long time. A unique “coming of age”. I caught myself getting emotional several times. Make sure to read trigger warnings if you feel that these could apply to you

The writing was beautiful but at times the book felt like one big trauma dump. For that reason I have to give it a 3/5. The writing styles saved this book for me.

This falls in the niche genre that is “the authors love letter to their mother knowing they may never read it”. 
This book is here for all the female relationships one will have as a child and how these shape you and can almost break you. I am emotionally devastated
