Wow reading this book was a fucking journey, it's extremely triggering and emotional but oh so well written, each sentence was poetry and each words so well chosen,I love this book so so much I would recommend it to anyone but don't forget to check the TW since this book deals with so much heavy topics.

Beautiful but heart shattering. We watch as Betty takes on the trauma of her family as she grows up through the years.  It’s a book that will stay with you long after you’ve finished the last page. While I would love to recommend this book to everyone, I urge people to first check the content warnings.

it was too hard to read 

reading this book broke me: it was so harsh and beautiful and sad and depicted the horrible truth, without covering any of it. the diff between the magical world of betty’s father, his connexion to nature, to realness and beauty, and the horror of real life was so wonderful 

it was really worth reading, though really hard to
