Words will never be able to adequately convey how deeply, passionately I abhor the father from this volume. This has got to be the most tragic manga chapter I’ve ever read.

This is my first dive into reading manga! Friends gave me the first book for my birthday, and I have to admit I was a little unsure about it at first. The most I knew about this series was that there was an anime (well, apparently 2) and it involved two brothers who attempt to use alchemy to resurrect their mother from the dead. Getting into a new world when reading can take a while, and from I remember the first chapter didn't hook me. But that didn't last long. The stakes in the main plot are high, and the characters are fully realized/established. There are fun mini-comics between chapters, though I have to admit they are not always my humor. I'm glad it was recommended to me, and as a result, I'm hoping to read all the volumes to find out what happens next.

This is one of the best stories I’ve read! Everything comes into place the story is cohesive and the themes are just chef’s kiss! I could talk about this story for hours!
