Cute young adult fantasy I like it better than the first series.

Oh my gosh. This was AMAZING. Where do I even start? The world, the characters, the plot, all executed PERFECTLY. The amount of passion and feeling this book got out of me was amazing. I LOVED Laia and Elias and HATED Marcus and the Commandant. I also thought the romance was really well handled (although I wish a bit more focus was on Laia’s side) and it ADDED to the story really well. I don’t know how to describe how amazing this book is, you simply have to read it.

I can see how some compare this to Legend. I enjoyed the read and am excited to see where the story goes.

This was refreshing to read. With the rise of Book Social media, every fantasy seems to be the same thing, and this wasn't, which I liked. My only problems were how Elias talked to and about Helene, and the world-building, which was a little bit confusing and clunky.

This took me too long to finish but I read half in 2 days. It was sooooooo good. I was so invested in the characters. I fell in love with them. It was sad. Brutal at times. It was game of thrones meets hunger games meets the kite runner? Ha. I'm not sure but it was fabulous! I never go into the next book of a series immediately after but I'm tempted..... Very very pleased with this book and very surprised by some of the mixed reviews I saw on it. I loved every minute of it.
