I absolutely loved this book!!!! I’m so hooked and need to read the rest of the books in the series!!! Trigger warnings for life threatening medical diseases & grief
Connor and Aaliyah meet on Halloween night she is dressed as little red riding hood and him as Captain America. Connor bets Aaliyah that in 5 hours she will fall in love with him. The two go to different places such as a roof top, comic book shop etc. At the end of the night the two say goodbye without getting each other’s names or info. Two years later and Aaliyah is getting married to Captain’s aka Connor’s business partner. Connor says “ don’t marry him” Aaliyah is given a task at the magazine she works at to get an exclusive from the millionaire Connor Roe. Aaliyah had no idea Connor is in fact a millionaire and doesn’t do press. Could Connor help heal Aaliyah’s broken heart when the unthinkable happens?
I could go on and on about how much I loved this book! I love the idea of meeting on Halloween night and falling in love in one night. I loved that Connor called Aaliyah “ Red” and she called Connor “ Captain” throughout the book! I loved the emotion during this book and the growth from our couple! I loved the chemistry between our couple! I just loved them both so much!!! I highlighted so many quotes but my favourite is “ Your the main character day in and day out. For me your the one that got away.”
So excited to continue on with the next book! Highly recommend!!

Wie immer eine spektakuläre Geschichte. Wenn mich auch andere Bücher von Brittainy mehr berührt haben, so war dieses Mal wieder eine wunderbar emotionale Geschichte, die mich in ihren Bann gezogen hat. Konnte das Buch kaum aus der Hand legen.

Dieses Buch ist das erste von Brittany C. Cherry, weshalb ich wirklich gespannt war herauszufinden, was alle an ihren Büchern so lieben.
Während des Lesens habe ich definitiv genossen, was für ein ehrlicher, sympathischer und freundlicher Protagonist Connor war, es ist einfach schön von jemand zu lesen, der ein gutes Herz hat. Aaliyah dagegen war für mich eine sehr wecgselhafte Protagonistin. Am Anfang wirkte sie taff, klug und erzählte von ihrer guten Menschkenntnis, doch in vielen anderen Teilen des Buches war sie mir zu gutgläubig, zu naiv - wo bleibt da die Menschenkenntnis?
Zusammen waren die beiden wirklich süß und einige Sätze ein kleines Highlight. Trotzdem waren manche Aspekte mir etwas zu unrealistisch, am Ende dann etwas viel Drama.
Insgesamt ein Liebesgeschichte, die einen die Realität vergessen lässt.
