Another emotional journey from Brittainy. There up many ups and downs. Many twists that I hadn’t expected. I hated Jason.

Holy heartstrings

I don't write too many reviews, but this story broke me down into a sobbing mess on more than one accessing in the best way. Very beautiful story with two pretty insightful and introspective characters. I really enjoyed it.

Une romance assez sympa!
Contente de retrouver Connor.
Ça fait plaisir d’avoir une romance ou le perso principal est pas un connard.

(même si j’ai un faible pour les connards)
reflective medium-paced

i wish i liked this but i just did not like Aaliyah, and because of the insta-love i didn’t see what Connor really liked about her either

Got so extremely bored and I thought it had the death trope

I LOVE CONNOR ROE.
He is an incredible book boyfriend.
The beginning and the way that they met was my favorite part of their story.
You knew they were destined from the beginning.
I loved Connor in Southern Storms and I'm so glad he gets the kind of girl he deserves with Aaliyah.
I was not expecting the direction that this story took so it was such a pleasant surprise and kept me turning the pages. All the emotions.

We met Connor in Southern Storms (Compass Series 1). He stole my heart in that book and I couldn't wait to read his story.

Connor and Aaliyah will have a most peculiar first meeting at a Halloween party where she will be just Red and he Captain. Aaliyah is coming out of a betrayal love and meeting Connor with all his charm and charisma will make her had one of her best nights touring and sharing their favorite places in New York City.

I really liked Aaliyah that night, it seemed that despite everything she was suffering she still had dreams and was determined to fulfill them. And Connor being the guy with a sense of humor that got a few laughs out of me with every bad joke, because even though I love Connor we have to be honest, his jokes suck LOL, he listens and advises Aaliyah always with that special way of him that leads him to tell her that he can make her fall in love with him in 6 hours. Of course I won't say if he succeeds, just that over the course of two years so many things change and when this pair is reunited not everything will be all happiness.

There are secrets and fears on both sides that will give them a lot of heartache and make us as readers shed a tear or two (who am I kidding, I cried at some scenes in this story). As I read and progressed through the book I could see how they helped each other first as just friends and later as couple and I fell more and more for them I just wished they had their happily ever after.

I loved hearing about Jax and Kennedy again, Connor's mother, but most of all getting to know this new character that Brittainy introduces us to and just as Connor stole so much of Jax's story in Southern Storms, Damian does with this one here.

I'm looking forward to the date of his book release because the synopsis the author has on Goodreads for it has me very anxious to read him.

Eastern Lights is a contemporary story that certainly stirs all kinds of feelings but also teaches us that we can't stop living and risk living today for fear of what might happen tomorrow.

Thank you so much to Brittainy Cherry for the extra time to do this review.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Excellent book and series so far. Can't wait until the next book.
