This book had an impact on me. You know when something inspires you to live life, be active, make jewelry, go to art gallery, travel, write poems? Just dgaf and be you. You can have money problems and still be happy. That's what I felt. I felt inspired. Patti Smith's story shows the struggle and the beuty of living in New York City as a poor artist. She also shows how people love eachother and accepts who they are. I envy the bond that connects Patti and Robert. It was truly thier fate.

A little slow for my taste, but a nice memoir and ode to Patti and Robert's relationship. Read by the author.
