The writing and plot were incredible but it definitely feels like it borrowed a little too heavily from another book in building characters. I wish Audrain had presented more original ideas to set the story apart.

DID NOT FINISH

I think I made it about halfway through but I didn't enjoy a single page. It's a deeply upsetting book. I thought it would be like Sharp Teeth, which I found upsetting but also at least interesting to read. The Push feels like it was designed by AI to just make the most unpleasant book that has traits that would make it to the bestseller lists.

Life is too short to read something that I just don't care about.

Si legge tutto d’un fiato. Per fortuna è una storia inventata e non è un fatto reale. Il male può nascondersi in ognuno di noi? Forse si

Wow, for me this really lived up to the hype! The Push is a heart-wrenching and disturbing tale of three flawed generations of motherhood. There are some really beautiful moments in this book but also some extremely difficult and uncomfortable moments of fear, exhaustion, and pain - that your spouse is not only bonding more with your baby but gaslighting you into thinking you’re the problem. There was this kind of subtle accusations of “hysteria” and Blythe being constantly discredited, it was upsetting to read to say the least.

The Push started off as a psychological thriller and it turned into so much more than that. I was so invested in all of the lives of the women in this book and was sad for it to be over. Also, this has been rare for me lately but I absolutely loved the ending of this book. I thought it was perfect.
