This was a fun fantasy with regency vibes but a twist. The fae world was well built out, with some more opportunity for depth with the contrast between human norms and fae norms. I liked the MCs a lot, with their alternating viewpoints giving us a good view into their internal thoughts. The spice was good, the HEA was good but a little rushed. The ending set up for the next book. I liked the cast of characters enough that I’ll probably read more. The author’s humor and voice are compelling.

It slowed down at the end, but the yearning and pining were delightful. I was squee-ing my way through the whole book.
The ending was very practical. They love each other, but aren’t dependent on each other or need each other. Which is fine and I guess healthy, but not the kind of devotion I’m looking for in my fictional fae romances.
