Just think that it was a bit too explicit for me. Nothing wrong with that, just not my cup of tea.

Finally, an actually good fae/human enemies to lovers romance! This book kept me entertained from cover to cover and I liked all of the characters. I thought Edwina and Williams motivations for starting out enemies, them falling for each other, and the conflicts that arose between them were very well done. None of it felt too convenient or had me rolling my eyes which unfortunately often happens with fae romance. The way they both slowly fall for one another through their rivalry was so cute and I adore how down bad William was! I liked the sprinkles of world building and I hope we get more of it in this series. I'm definitely reading future entries, because yes, definitely more of this please!
One note I will make is that whoever decided to have the American narrators do fake English accents the whole book should go on vacation because they're clearly not doing their best work right now. Either get actual English people or just have them use their normal accents, I promise it's not going to break my suspension of disbelief.

Knocking a star off because I HATED the nickname he gave her. I'm sorry but Weenie is a horrible nickname.

This book was cute and enjoyable, nothing groundbreaking, but definitely a charming fantasy romance. It features a fun mix of magical creatures like fae, shapeshifters, satyrs, and more, which adds a nice touch of whimsy to the world-building.
The romance follows a classic trope: not quite enemies to lovers, but more of a rivals-to-lovers dynamic. The banter between the main characters is entertaining, and while there’s a fair bit of arrogance
The writing style is easy to get into, making it a smooth and relaxing read. It’s down-to-earth in tone, with just the right amount of fantasy drama to keep things interesting.

The main characters were supposed to be 29 and 25/26 years old but they would make stupid decisions that didn’t make sense only to further the plot. Unbelievable how Edwina never learns from any of her mistakes and is the most gullible character ever, who doesn’t think at any moment in the novel. Their “romance” wasn’t really believable, and the way the main conflict is resolved at the end is laughable. They never communicate, which lets miscommunication drag on, and Edwina lets herself get dragged into absolutely everything without a second thought. It felt like everything was just tied into a neat bow even though we got no explanation as to how William and his sister survived without the book contracts he claimed he desperately needed (even if Edwina did help with his sister’s scholarship). Somehow I wanted William to grovel more at Edwina’s feet for no reason, but he’s down bad enough so I’m glad with what we got.
