Sweet and easy. Initially attracted to this book by a quote on instagram that screamed tension and enemies to lover, but honestly the romance wasn't as gripping as that (I guess what can you cram into a standalone). It was cozy and cute, and that was the aim. The worst part of the whole book was Will's nickname for Edwina - "Weenie" - that really got past edits and into publishing??

Pleasantly surprised I enjoyed this as much as I did. Cute enemies to lovers. Authors. Fairies. The writing could have been a skoshe better and I could have used more character development from the side characters but I know there’s a companion book with Daphne that I will shortly be reading.

TLDR; I really liked it and it will be falling out of my brain in 3-5 business days.

A cute little cozy tale with great Anne/Gilbert hints, yearning, and banter.
