Pleasantly surprised I enjoyed this as much as I did. Cute enemies to lovers. Authors. Fairies. The writing could have been a skoshe better and I could have used more character development from the side characters but I know there’s a companion book with Daphne that I will shortly be reading.

TLDR; I really liked it and it will be falling out of my brain in 3-5 business days.

A cute little cozy tale with great Anne/Gilbert hints, yearning, and banter.

DID NOT FINISH: 12%

DNF at 12%. The level of contrived baseless animosity between these two immature, caricaturish, and extremely unlikable main characters is so annoying that I am already tired of their company to the point of not wanting to know anything else about them. What passes for "banter" in this book is not clever, not funny, and has no sparks of either chemistry or creativity. It's just a boring exchange of very childish idiotic insults and boasts for absolutely no reason whatsoever. And the book has barely started... I have a suspicion that the author wrote (at least the beginning of) this book while suffering the human effects of the fae drink described in chapter 5.

People who managed to finish this book must have the patience of saints!
