About the book:
Set in the whimsical, dreamy world of Faerwyvae, this story follows Edwina and William, two writers from completely different worlds: one human, one fae. They're both fiercely talented and equally determined to win a life-changing publishing deal. But what starts as a cutthroat rivalry slowly transforms into something deeper... something messier… something neither of them planned for.
My thoughts:
I absolutely loved reading this book. The chemistry between Edwina and William was ELECTRIC. From their first scene together till the very last page, the banter and tension between them kept me fully invested. I was screaming, giggling, kicking my feet. It was so fun to read. Also, I live for rivals-to-lovers stories, and this one delivered all the tension and tenderness I could ask for.
I really loved the setting, too. The whole vibe of the setting felt so alive and magical, I honestly didn’t want to leave it. Also, I love books about writers and the world of publishing, so mixing that with a magical backdrop? It was basically written for someone like me tyvm.
I have to mention my babies, Daphne and Monty, they had so much heart. I was very much invested in their story too, which is why I’m definitely picking up the next book in the series. (I need more of them. Immediately.)
The only reason this isn’t a full 5 stars is because the ending dragged a tiny bit, and the third act conflict didn’t hit as hard as I hoped. It felt a bit forced. But everything else was genuinely lovely.
Highly recommend if you want a romantic, feel-good fantasy that leaves your heart full and your imagination running wild.
