Any book that explores morality, the human soul and the impact of art is going to be a 5 star read for me but this was a masterpiece, absolute perfection

I must say that when I finished this book, I couldn't start reading another one in awhile. This novel is dark but still amazing; shows all the sins we think of doing but don't. Dorian is the representation of how a beautiful and inocent person can be corrupted so easily till become a real monster, capable of anything. And how evil can be refleted in our face, our body. Oscar Wilde did great with this novel, but it really affected the way I see life so I don't think I'll read it again... Still, I would highly recommend it!

'Because to influence a person is to give him one's own soul.'

I found that the beginning was very slow and boring, but I liked how everything came together in the end. Dorian Grey is a morally grey character who found himself influenced by Harry and his hedonistic ideals about beauty and freedom. Dorian becomes obsessed with his own physical beauty, neglecting that of his soul along the way. If I were to take more time and analyze this book deeper I would probably rate this book a 5 stars, I just found myself stuck around the halfway point.

What a wonder this book is! How elegantly has the author described and developed the psyche of an individual from one untouched by the world to a cruel shell of a person who justifies murder and other sins through childish reason and logic.
