OKAYYYYYY where do I even begin? WOW. I. was. not. ready.

I went into this thinking that it would be a glorified fanfic (which I was also anticipating loving) but this blew me away. Each character arc was perfectly executed imo, and Kay managed to make the Phantom both loveable (truly at the end of the day I'm a Phantom stan tbh) and despicable, and ultimately had me in tears with so many feels. I will forever look at Christine and Phantom's relationship in a completely different light (for the better) and now I'm discarding all of my TBR plans to read Leroux's original novel immediately.
