Sweet, charming, adorable Leslie Jordan tells us sweet, charming, adorable stories about his life. He's everything you thought he was, and nothing you don't want him to be.

There's a puppy but it's fine. It starts off scary and ends up an adorable story about actors helping a puppy find her forever home.

It was so great to hear Leslie's voice again! He had such a unique way to tell stories and remained so humble despite his fame.

3.5 stars - listened to the audiobook because I love hearing the author tell their own stories!

I love Leslie Jordan so much. It's definitely worth listening to the audio book. Hearing his voice again was nice. The audio book is definitely the way to go
medium-paced

This book is unfortunately so short that we don't get to really dive into any chapter of his amazing life.  Definitely worth a read.

I listened to the audiobook read by Mr. Jordan himself. Do yourself a favor and listen rather than read. To hear his voice and cadence spinning yarns is a treat. It’s written in the same meandering style of anyone telling a good story after dinner around the table or at the bar. You always get back to the point eventually.

How trustworthy Mr. Jordan is in his own tales isn’t clear (he is a self confessed embellisher) but I don’t care. Memoirs are never reliable or objective recounting of lives, and that’s ok. That’s part of what to love about the genre — seeing how the subject viewed their own life. Mr. Jordan’s life is indeed well lived.
