Read. This. Book. Leslie Jordan should be named America's Sweetheart. His stories were bright rays of sunshine and I want everyone to see his light!
funny reflective fast-paced

I’ve been planning a Pride celebration lately and popped this on to pass the time while slogging through paperwork and god I really miss Leslie Jordan. Every story has me enraptured and it’s like hearing gossip from an old friend. Rest well in the sky Leslie!

Funny, witty and full of stories, some rather embellished, this autobiography is a must! If you loved watching Leslie Jordan on tv and movies, make this your next audiobook!

It feels weird to rate this at all harshly now that he's gone and such a dark hole is left in his place, but while this was an enjoyable read, I wish it focused more on his life and experiences in life. His perspectives on the treatment of gay men in Hollywood, the HIV epidemic, and his funny stories and antics with friends were brilliant, but his short stories on various sets and learning instagram severely lacked in comparison. I wish it had been more edited to have a through line instead of feeling like a bunch of jumbled stories.
