This was very different from Ellen Hopkins other storytelling. I would describe this story as romance with a mystery twist. The author withholds a lot of information about the narrator and her past feeding bits and pieces throughout the book and it isn’t until the very end that the reader is sure of the real story.

I also love that borderline personality disorder is talked about in the book. I also have bpd and it was nice to be able to see the thought processes behind what people think are manipulating and dangerous ideas

DNF at 35%. Cannot stand this chick and she's getting worse by the page.

Although it took me longer to become involved with this one of Ellen Hopkins' books, I definitely found myself there. I'm a much bigger fan of her fast-paced YA novels, but this book got me my fix and I'm happy to say that I enjoyed it, even with the loose ends. I'll be hoping to read those ends tied up in a future book, for sure.

I found myself slightly disappointed with this one because I thought it would be more exciting. I found it difficult to even place whether there was an exact climax in the plot. The ending felt pretty abrupt, with most of the loose ends being tied up. Although I like that the ending leaves you guessing about what will happen to Tara and Graham's relationship.

Character development was sadly lacking. I read this in around two hours and the only reason I continued was in the hopes of seeing the narrator undergo some sort of demise. Honestly, the borderline personality disorder in combination with the "sociopath" book at the end? Not cool, Ellen Hopkins, not cool. Way to stereotype the disorder.

Boring. Anticlimactic. Reminded me more of a soap opera. Mediocre drama. No real point to this book.

This was not the best book I have read, but it kept me entertained. The ending intrigued me to read the second
