it is possible to take this as straight fantasy and ignore any parallel references to Christianity...but that's honestly a huge part of why these books are so good. For example, the lesson about trusting in God absolutely, and leaving family and friends to follow Him, even when those all around you can't see Him or any reason why you do what you do.

I enjoyed getting back into the world of Narnia. I’m also currently looking at the similarities between this book and the stories from the books of Samuel in the Bible.
