4.5* I loved this book! My only complaint is I wanted to know what the aftermath of all the lies would be with each character. Definitely worth the read/listen.

Secrets, blackmail, five close friends and a wedding. What could go wrong?

It was definitely an intense thriller. It kept me in suspense because there was a plot twist in nearly every chapter.

I kept trying to figure out who the *unaliver* was but the timeline and each POV had me guessing until it was revealed.

It Could Be Anyone will have you guessing in this fast-paced who-dunnit through the entire book. The twists and turns are crazy and it was a wild ride.

The story follows a group of college friends who are in Miami for their friend's wedding, except the groom dies within the first few pages. From there, the story bounces between all the characters POV's leading up to the wedding with all having their own reasons for potentially killing him.

I truly can't say much without giving away the book, but HOLY CRAP, I never saw the ending coming. If you're looking for a thriller that will keep you guessing, check out It Could Be Anyone.

A group of five best friends (two of whom are married to each other) travel to their other BFF’s destination wedding in Florida. The happy occasion is marred by the fact that they are all being blackmailed by the groom. Then the groom dies of an allergic reaction at the reception, and anyone could be guilty of murder.

I did not like this book at all, and it’s my own damn fault because I should have known better than to read another stupid fucking destination wedding/frenemies/lovers/secrets and lies and murder book. All of the characters are awful, annoying, self-involved, self-sabotaging assholes, and I wish they’d all just murdered each other in an epic bloodbath on page five.

Like most everyone, I L-O-V-E-D Finding Tessa. Any thriller fans who haven’t read it must check it out! It Could Be Anyone is the second book by Jaime Lynn Hendricks, and I really enjoyed it.

The groom is (possibly) murdered at his destination wedding in Miami. Each of the five best friends in attendance has a motive to kill him. You see, Trevor, the groom, finds his way into the heart of his bride, Fiona, by learning the darkest secret of each of Fiona’s best friends and then blackmailing them into pressuring Fiona to marry him. ACK. Trevor desperately wants to marry Fiona, and he’ll pull all the cards to make that happen.

This one has several narrators and characters to keep straight, which can also keep you guessing as to whom really did it. I’ll admit it took a lot of concentration on my part to keep everyone straight. I thought the pacing was strong, and I was invested in the story. I loved the short chapters and the tension. Finding Tessa is definitely my favorite of the two books, though. Where I thought it was pretty perfect, this one was missing that same spark.

Overall, I think Hendricks has delivered another solid thriller, and I cannot wait for what’s next from her.

I received a gifted copy.

One of the most exhilarating who-done-it thrillers I have read! Jaime Lynn Hendricks is a great storyteller but an even better character composer! I felt like the characters of this book were my own long time friends. Be ready for your jaw to drop over and over as this tale unwinds!

I was impressed by Jaime Lynn Hendricks' debut novel and was thrilled to receive an ARC of her upcoming book, "A Lovely Lie." However, I must confess that "It Could Be Anyone" has been gathering dust on my NetGalley shelf for quite some time.

The story begins with a gripping chapter that will take your breath away! Trevor and Fiona exchange their vows, and everyone is enjoying the wedding reception when Trevor suddenly drops dead. His death is presumed to be from an allergic reaction, but it is being investigated as suspicious.

Fiona’s five college friends flew in from NYC to attend the Miami wedding. Although they all publicly praised Trevor, none of them meant it. The story jumps between different timelines and shows flashbacks of Trevor's conversations with each of Fiona’s friends. He blackmailed them into giving him the support he needed to encourage Fiona to go through with the wedding. Somehow, Trevor unearthed a dark secret each wanted to keep hidden and dangled it over their head. He was such a devious scumbag, he deserved what he got!

"Finding Tessa" was such an exceptional book. "It Could Be Anyone" was an intriguing story tucked within a stunning cover, but it didn't quite live up to the author's debut novel. I have a feeling “A Lovely Lie” will measure up and I’m excited to plunge in!

A fairly classic "whodunit" mystery. At first I was worried that I would have trouble keeping all the characters straight, but after about 10% it was pretty clear in my mind. Oddly enough, the most interesting aspect of this book wasn't who the killer was, it was all the relationships and history between all the friends!
