this is a fun simple story, short and cute and I really like the characters and how they work together. everything about this is so well done. it's a bit on the simple side, a bit short, a bit in need of world building. but for what it is, it works great.

Way too short, because boy could I have devoured more! Like all Charles' books, it was gorgeous, scenic, the romance just right, and I wanted more.

Also the narrators on this one did a wonderful job, the others I've listened to have been a single narrator (who does a fantastic job I must say, you'd often be forgiven for thinking there were two) but having two was nice also.

ETA I didnt realise when I picked this in Audible's Plus catalogue that it was a novella within another series rather than a standalone, so yay for more! The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting is next on my list so that's a happy coincidence.
