Loreth Anne White has done it again, this cold-case thriller, inspired by a true story, had me on the edge of my seat all the way to the heartbreaking ending.

When homicide detective Jane Munro unearths human bones beneath an old chapel, she reopens the decades-old case of missing teen Annalise Jansen, unraveling a web of secrets among the affluent members of the Shoreview Six, who find their dark past resurfacing and threatening to expose the terrible pledge made on an early autumn night forty-seven years ago.
