To keep Conan's story strong, he's sent back to school and that's where his ragtag group starts: Genta, Mitsuhiko, and Ayumi.
Because solving mysteries is still an important subject to master at school, it seems.

Despite the blood and murder and whatnot, there's still time to unwind by seeing a bunch of kiddos playing pretend. And also dealing with the blood and everything else. It builds character.

Second installment in the Conan series and it continues being enjoyable. The cases are pretty good, they keep you guessing. I seem to remember from the TV show that Ran was more "lady-in-distress" like so I'm glad to see she is a tough one here. (She stops a man by kicking him in the face through a car window. That's was pretty awesome and unbelievable too but whatever.)
