A fitting end that proves this series was really about the characters, not the mission, all along.

Preacher is one of my all time favorites. Since I've currently been watching (obsessing over) the tv show I figured I'd give this a re-read to refresh my memory. Guess what? I still love it just as much! I honestly can't recommend this series enough. As a side note I think the Preacher show has some of the all time best page to screen casting. Such perfection. I mean Joe Gilgun as Cassidy...So. Much. YES! If you haven't read these books yet now is the perfect time to grab'em up.

Preacher has been a hell of a ride. It’s had its faults, and they are plenty, but more often than no they pale before the magnitude of the story being told. It’s entertaining, well-crafted and insightfully opinionated about social issues relevant today more than ever.
